Internationally renowned three Michelin-star chef Alain Passard (Arpège Restaurant ***) and chef Bas van Kranen (Bord’Eau *) will join forces for an exclusive gastronomical collaboration on the 16th of November in restaurant Bord’Eau and pay tribute to food and art. Passard’s presence is tied to his acceptance of the 2019 international Johannes van Dam Prize, awarded by the Allard Pierson – Collections of the University of Amsterdam. For this very unique occasion guests can enjoy a special six-course menu created by van Kranen for which he drew inspiration from the artistic drawings of Passard’s new book: Recipes by Alain Passard. The three-star chef who gives vegetables the lead role.
Adding to the extraordinary character of the evening, guests will experience an intimate symposium in between courses in which Passard will provide insight in his line of creative thought and answer questions. The symposium will be led by none other than fellow French chef Alain Caron and guests will have the opportunity to meet and converse with all three chefs. The evening promises to be filled with nothing other than highlights. A moment where creativity and technology come together in an ode to culinary art.
Especially for this evening, this special menu is the only menu we sell this evening at €245,- per person which includes a 6-course menu with wine pairing and Alain Passard’s new book signed by Alain Passard himself.
